Campaign Concept

The fifth edition of CSA’s national cybersecurity campaign, “The Unseen Enemy” highlights the unseen, yet pervasive nature of cyber threats and scams in our daily lives, and the need for everyone to be vigilant against these threats. 

A short video, which will be shown on various digital platforms, was produced to highlight the losses that unseen cybercriminals can inflict on us emotionally and financially. The video features a PME male unsuspectingly clicking on a malicious phishing link, which sets off a series of events where his valuables and data start to disappear. We see a faint silhouette of the unseen cybercriminal, in the victim’s home, before we catch a glimpse of him again at the end of the video, watching the victim whose camera he has also hacked into. 

Four posters, each carrying one cyber tip, will be displayed across a variety of out-of-home platforms islandwide. They include wallscapes at train stations and bus interchanges, MRT platform screen doors, bus shelters, and digital display panels at HDB lift lobbies. There will also be partnerships with digital platforms and popular websites such as Lazada, Mothership and The Woke Salaryman.

Details of the “Home In on Cyber Security” Roadshow

Using a home setting, the “Home in on Cybersecurity” roadshow will take place on 30th September and 1st October, 11am – 6pm at the Suntec City Convention Centre Atrium Level 1. Visitors will receive an event card, which they can use to collect stamps at the interactive zones and redeem prizes.

• Zone 1: Strong Passphrases and Enabling 2FA – Gate/Entrance

The Strong Passphrase zone highlights the importance of creating strong passwords and guides visitors through the process of creating one. Participants will need to select a key card tagged with a weak password to unlock the gate and enter the home. They will then be asked to create a strong passphrase and test its strength using CSA’s password checker.

• Zone 2: Phishing Scams – Living Room

Visitors will get to play CSA’s Phishing Wars game (no longer available) to identify legitimate and phishing emails/messages. 

• Zone 3: Prompt Software Updates – Bedroom 

Visitors will learn about the importance of updating their software promptly. They can complete a short questionnaire to test their knowledge.

• Zone 4: ScamShield and Anti-Virus Apps – Study Room 

Through an augmented reality program, visitors will learn how installing an anti-virus app is key to detect and remove malware and to provide an additional layer of security for their devices. They will also learn the importance of adding ScamShield to detect scam SMSes and block scam calls. 

• Zone 5: Prize Redemption - Kitchen

Using a gachopon machine, visitors get the chance to redeem a variety of campaign collaterals, such as a lunch box, RFID cardholder, and an eco-bag. 

Partner Booths

The Singapore Police Force - National Crime Prevention Council Booth 

The booth by the Singapore Police Force and National Crime Prevention Council will showcase the ‘I can ACT Against Scams’ campaign and ScamShield app to (i) Increase awareness among the public on the ACT (Add, Check, Tell) anti-scam actions they can take to protect themselves from scams, and (ii) Encourage members of public to start taking anti-scam actions by adding the ScamShield app for their mobile devices. 

The Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) Booth 

The booth by the IMDA’s SG Digital Office will feature interactive and hands-on activities such as a spot the difference game and how to set strong passwords, which are aimed at helping visitors pick up digital skills and enhance their digital wellness.
