The Internet offers an exciting world of experiences for children and the whole family. It can be entertaining, educational and rewarding. However, using the Internet also involves risks and challenges. Children may unknowingly share personal information without realising that they may be subject to identity theft, or leave behind content on social networks that might not reflect well on them in the future. Children might be exposed to inappropriate or undesirable content that is violent or sexually explicit in nature. They might also experience cyber bullying or be at risk from contact by strangers.
