Attackers can exploit a high-severity vulnerability in Apple products to execute arbitrary code on affected devices. Patch immediately.

Background

Apple has released security updates to address a high-severity vulnerability (CVE-2026-86950) affecting Apple products. This vulnerability has a Common Vulnerability Scoring System (CVSS v3.1) score of 8.8 out of 10.

Impact

Successful exploitation of this out-of-bounds write vulnerability could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code when a maliciously crafted file is processed on an affected device.

This vulnerability is reportedly being exploited in targeted attacks.
